- Cabo Verde Telecom has signed a financing contract in the amount of EUR 37.0 million with the European Investment Bank intended to support the costs of the Connectivity 2.0 program, which includes four essential projects identified as priorities to ensure the sustainable development of the company and its network.
- Cabo Verde Telecom intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the Design, Supply, and Installation of six (6) segments of the Submarine Cable System in the Republic of Cabo Verde.
- The implementing entity, Cabo Verde Telecom S.A., now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the design and engineering, execution of a detailed cable route study, conducting thorough marine surveys, providing both submarine and terrestrial cables, and managing the installation and testing phases, in accordance with the Employer’s Requirements and applicable national and international standards as detailed in the tender documents.
- It is expected that works may commence by August 2025, with commissioning expected by June 2026.
- The bidding process will be conducted through international competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
- Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Cabo Verde Telecom, in writing only, and requested through the email address below. The bidding document, in English only, can be obtained through the link: https://www.alou.cv/csii4tender.
- Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before February 6, 2025, at 15:00 local time.
- Late bids will be rejected.
- Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend, either at the address below or online as indicated in the bidding document.
- All bids must be accompanied by a bid security in the form of a bank guarantee provided in the bidding documents in the amount of three hundred thousand Euros (EUR 300,000). Please check the bidding document for more instructions on bid security.
